Meet the founder
David Mynott
I love building. The joy of creating and providing something as tangible as a home is incredible. My passion has taken me far, from starting my apprenticeship in Northam to travelling the world and building homes. This allowed me to see how homes are built in different places around the world.
These adventures eventually led me back to Perth to build homes. After seeing how the rest of the world builds with timber, I spent a lot of time wondering why we build so many standard double brick houses back home. I came to realise how poor and inefficient this choice is.
Watching one of Sir David Attenborough's latest documentaries, "A Life on Earth," gave me the spark I needed to do something about it. In this documentary, we are confronted with how our world will look in the not-too-distant future. I started looking into how we can build better, more sustainably, and in harmony with nature rather than against it.
Taking the best parts of passive home designs, I wanted to figure out a way to achieve net-zero emissions through our homes, incorporating sustainably sourced products. This led me to the building philosophy of "building better" to fulfil my lifelong passion for building good homes.
